Serbian, Spanish justice ministries improve cooperation

Minister of Justice Snezana Malovic and her Spanish counterpart Francisco Caamaño Dominguez signed a Memorandum of Understanding today in Madrid, which will improve and strengthen legal cooperation between the two countries.
The Memorandum envisages that the two justice ministries may take actions to encourage their contacts and share experience between their judicial organs.
The document also enables the ministries to draft programmes of cooperation for a limited period, appoint a group of experts to solve any possible problems and draw final conclusions regarding their implementation.
The Serbian and Spanish justice ministries will be able to promote an exchange of experience in drafting laws, professional training of employees at ministries, as well as to organise their activities, draft legal procedures and steps to implement them and cooperate in all other sectors under their jurisdiction.
Malovic and Caamaño Dominguez also discussed the improvement of cooperation between Serbia and Spain when it comes to international legal assistance in criminal matters, reads the Ministry’s statement.
