Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija to prepare draft law on assistance to Serbs in southern province

The Serbian government adopted at its session today a Bill on amendments to the Law on execution of sentence of imprisonment for the crimes of organised crime, as well as a Bill on amendments to the Law on the Agency for Export Insurance and Financing.

The government has adopted a conclusion that the Ministry for Kosovo-Metohija should prepare and submit for consideration a draft law on support to Serbian people and members of minority communities in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija.
Before the beginning of the application of the law, the government ordered all ministries, special organisations and government agencies to allow persons from the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija to exercise their right to salary, benefits and temporary benefits paid through the National Employment Service that they exercised until 10 August 2010. The government has adopted an action plan to implement a national strategy for improving the situation of women and promoting gender equality for the period from 2010 to 2015.
