Government adopts spatial planning bill

At its session today the Serbian government adopted a Bill on spatial planning, under which long term guidelines for 2010 – 2020 for land use in the Republic of Serbia will be established.
The purpose of establishing these basic guidelines is to harmonise economic and social development with natural, ecological and cultural potential and limitations.
Bills on the affirmation of agreements between Serbia and Egypt concerning tourism cooperation and air transport were approved at the session.
The government also adopted several decrees, including a Decree on the procedure for the selection and monitoring of projects under the special 2010 plan for supporting the construction industry amidst the global economic crisis and a Decree on amendments to the Decree on terms and conditions for the delivery of natural gas supply.
