Accelerated abolishment of harmful red tape

The Ministry of Economy and Regional Development stated today that the abolishment of harmful red tape has been accelerated in May and 51 recommendations regarding the guillotine of regulations have been implemented, which will help the economy to save around €40 million a year.
The statement adds that 132 recommendations issued by the Unit in charge of the guillotine of regulations are being implemented, which will bring much more benefits to the economy than simply saving money.
The extension of travel order validity from seven to 30 days will help to save €21 million, establishing a one-counter system for registering and unregistering employees for obligatory social security will help employers and citizens save around €15 million, while newly-founded businesses will save around €335,000 because they will no longer be under any obligation to conduct financial audits for the year in which they were set up. The guillotine revoked the obligation to report investment works abroad, which will help companies save around €73,000, while the revoked obligation to report any legal representation of foreigners in Serbia will help to save around €30,000.
