Minister without Portfolio and Director of the Sustainable Development Office Sulejman Ugljanin talked today with Alain Denizard, head of the department for international and European cooperation of the French national employment agency Pole Emploi.
Denizard is visiting Belgrade regarding the “Migration and Socio-Economic Development in the Western Balkans” project, being financed by the EU Enlargement Commission.
They discussed the inclusion of the Sustainable Development Office and the Fund for Financing Increased Employment in the project, as a measure to prevent migration of population from underdeveloped municipalities in Serbia to the EU and the return of those who have already left, as well as ways of procuring funds for this purpose.
The project will include countries of the Western Balkans in order to establish cooperation between local self-government units in various countries in the region.
Denizard conveyed French experiences concerning efforts to increase employment in less developed areas. It was agreed that more frequent meetings will be held and cooperation will be continued.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Office for insufficiently developed areas Semsudin Kucevic and Director of the Fund for Financing Increased Employment Miroljub Pokusevski.
