At the meeting the participants agreed that the cooperation between Serbia and the tribunal, when it comes to submitting the required documentation from state archives, relieving witnesses of the obligation to keep state secrets and other technical aspects, has been continuous, professional and without any impediments.
Every demand by the tribunal was responded to within the envisaged period and in the appropriate manner.
Bearing in mind that in his report from June 2009 the Chief Hague Prosecutor called upon the Serbian government to maintain the level of cooperation and in his report from December 2009 he noted that all the tribunal’s requests have been answered, today’s meeting confirms the fact that the cooperation with the tribunal has been uninterrupted and continuous.
The National Council believes that the cooperation with the tribunal is outstanding and that there is a relationship of trust between Serbia and the Prosecution.
With this in mind, the National Council and other state organs included in the cooperation process are fully committed to maintaining this level of cooperation in the future.
