Serbia, US sign bilateral military cooperation plan for 2011

The Serbian Defence Ministry stated that head of the Ministry’s department for international military cooperation Milorad Peric and head of a delegation of the United States European Command Colonel David Watson signed a bilateral military cooperation plan for 2011 in Belgrade today.
The most important cooperation activities will be the continuation of the International Military Education and Training programme, the Foreign Military Sales programme and activities under a strategic partnership programme with the Ohio National Guard, including the organisation of joint exercises and training of Serbian military personnel for participating in international operations.
Prior to the signing of the plan a conference was held for planning activities which was attended by representatives of the Pentagon, the United States European Command, the Ohio National Guard the United States Defence Attaché Office Belgrade, the Serbian Defence Ministry and the Serbian Army.
