State to finance 20,674 university students next academic year

The Serbian government adopted at its session today a decision on financing the studies of 20,674 university students who will enrol into the first year of studies at state-owned universities in the 2010-2011 academic year.
As for state-owned post-secondary technical schools, the state will finance studies of 6,597 first year students.
The government adopted a Bill on confirming the Agreement between the Serbian government and the Cabinet of the Ukrainian Minister on mutual assistance in customs affairs.
Other bills adopted are a Bill on confirming the Agreement on scientific and technological cooperation between the Serbian and Italian governments and a Bill on confirming the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Spain on the employment of family members of diplomatic, consular, administrative and technical staff of diplomatic and consular representative offices.
The government adopted a decision on removing the confidentiality label from documents from the government’s field of work that deal with data which might reveal facts on when, where, who and how many people have been killed and executed by firing squads since 1944.
A decree was adopted that will enable citizens to buy home-made computers through subsidised consumer loans in Serbian dinars, and a decree on abolishing foreign currency clauses for liquidity loans, ie, on full transfer to dinar liquidity loans, apart from the case of loans for the military industry.
The government earmarked another RSD 1 billion from the budget for dinar liquidity loans.
