Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica received today a delegation of the UK parliament Foreign Affairs Committee, led by Chairman Donald Anderson. Kostunica highlighted the firm commitment of the state union of Serbia-Montenegro for European integrations and said that the feasibility study is expected to be completed in spring next year.
Speaking about the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, the Prime Minister pointed to the difficult position of Serb and non-Albanian populations who do not enjoy basic human rights. He called for granting institutional guarantees to the Serbian community and the establishment of its self-government.
Kostunica said that in the implementation of province's decentralisation, it is necessary to include the Serbian government's Plan for Political Solution to Situation in Kosovo-Metohija, which was unanimously adopted by the Serbian parliament, and UNMIK's Plan. He said that it is necessary that Belgrade take part in the dialogue.
