At an emergency session summoned by Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic, the Council for Preventing Violence in Sport harshly condemned incidents at football games Red Star–OFK Beograd and Partizan–Vojvodina.
The Council demands that organisers of sport events increase control at entry points to stadiums and strictly abide by the Council of Europe recommendations.
At the session the Council contemplated other measures for suppressing incidents at sport events.
Representatives of the Ministry of the Interior informed the Council that the police are on the trail of the perpetrators of violence at these games.
