Social welfare programme for Kosovo-Metohija approved

At its session today the Serbian government approved a bill on the affirmation of an agreement on international road transport between Serbia and Belgium.

Bills on the affirmation of additions to the Convention establishing a customs cooperation council and on amendments to the law on voluntary pension funds and pension plans were passed.
A Decree was passed on amendments to the Decree on the prices of oil derivatives, under which oil derivatives prices will be adjusted every 30 days, not every 15 days as up until now.
Amendments were also made concerning changes to total oil prices. Up until now oil price adjustments were made when the percentage change would be higher or lower by 1.5%. Under new regulations adjustments will be made when the percentage change goes above 3.5%.
A Decree on the formation of an office for cooperation with civil society was passed. The office will carry out expert work for the government, regarding harmonisation of public administration organs, encouraging cooperation between public administration bodies and civil society.
The government adopted a waste management strategy for the period 2010 to 2019, which is one of the strategic documents for the establishment and promotion of an integrated waste management system.
The cabinet also adopted a Conclusion on accepting payment assistance programmes for the most socially vulnerable population in the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo-Metohija in 2010.
This programme includes assistance to the families of kidnapped and missing persons, monthly assistance to families of returnees to Kosovo-Metohija, help to financially disadvantaged families, assistance for persons with disabilities, families with children, as well as support for newborns.
Following the plane crash and the great tragedy that befell Poland the government observed a minute of silence to mourn the casualties.
