The Ministry for the Diaspora stated that Ljubomir Aleksov was elected delegate to the Assembly of the Diaspora and Serbs in the region, which will be constituted this June in line with the Law on the Diaspora and Serbs in the region.
Aleksov will represent the interests of the Serbian community in Hungary and will be one of the 45 delegates from all over the world, the statement adds.
The Serbian minority in Hungary has no representatives in the Hungarian Parliament of the government, but it independently appoints and participates in 27 local self-governments, the statement adds.
