Safety situation in Serbia stable

Belgrade, 11 March 2010

The Serbian Ministry of Defence concluded at its regular annual analysis of operational and functional abilities of the Serbian Army in 2009 that the safety situation in Serbia is stable.

The regular annual analysis, held yesterday at the National Guard centre, was attended by Serbian President Boris Tadic, Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac, Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Army Lieutenant-General Miloje Miletic and top officials of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Army.

Participants in the meeting ended the analysis by setting tasks for the upcoming period which should contribute to a further improvement in the abilities of the Serbian Army, reads a statement by the Ministry.
