According to a statement issued by the Justice Ministry, the extradition request and all necessary documentation has been submitted so that Ganic is brought before the Belgrade High Court for trial.
A UK court ruled that Serbia had to submit the extradition request and other documentation by April 7.
In December 2008 the war crimes chamber of the Belgrade High Court initiated an investigation on suspicion that Ganic, directly together with other persons, in violation of specific agreements concerning the peaceful withdrawal of Yugoslav army units from Bosnia-Herzegovina, issued orders for attack on the Yugoslav army hospital and the Yugoslav army house, a convoy of medical vehicles and an army convoy in Sarajevo.
Ganic is to be tried for war crimes against the wounded and ill, unlawful killing and wounding of the enemy and the use of illegal weapons, concludes the statement.
