Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Milan Parivodic met with the head of the European Commission delegation to Serbia-Montenegro and discussed current trade issues between Serbia-Montenegro and European Union countries.

The two officials also touched on the "two-track lane" procedure for the state union's accession to the EU and the World Trade Organisation, as well as the assistance realised through the CARDS programme.
Speaking with the EC delegation head, Parivodic pointed to the problem of Serbia's trade deficit and the need to raise or altogether abolish quotas for export of textiles and sugar.
Participants in the talks expressed readiness for further cooperation and its promotion.
