Sreckovic to visit Serbian Diaspora in London

Serbian Minister for the Diaspora Srdjan Sreckovic will be in London from February 5 to 7 as a special guest of the Serbian Week in the UK.
In a statement, the Ministry for the Diaspora said that on the first day of the visit the Minister is taking part in roundtable talks at the Serbian Embassy in London.
Apart from Sreckovic and Ambassador Dejan Popovic, the roundtable talks are also being attended by experts who work in the major European banks and other financial institutions headquartered in London.
The Minister for Diaspora discussed economic issues and the stability of Serbia with them in the context of completing the process of transition. .
He stressed the importance of the successful integration of Serbs in a multinational environment such as the UK.
Sreckovic also presented the Law on the Diaspora and the Serbs in the region and the rights and obligations arising from it.
The Serbian Week in the UK is being held for the second time and has a tendency to become traditional.
As part of the event, the Annual Assembly of the Serbian Council of Great Britain and a seminar at University College London under the title "Serbian heritage as the value, structure and product“ will be organised.
Also, a Serbian library will be opened, and the Week will include numerous exhibitions and concerts.
About 70,000 Serbs are estimated to live in the UK.
