Measures adopted for dealing with economic crisis this year

At its session today the Serbian government adopted a Programme envisaging measures for mitigating the effects of the global economic crisis for 2010. The programme is worth RSD 8.6 billion.
On the basis of the Programme, decrees were adopted on terms and conditions concerning subsidised interest rates on loans for investments during 2010, criteria for subsidised interest rates on consumer loans and loans to legal entities, on terms and conditions for subsidised interest rates on liquidity loans and loans for exports in 2010 and on measures for supporting the building industry through subsidised interest rates on housing loans and long term housing loans during 2010.
A Programme on the distribution of funds of RSD 3.5 billion for issuing loans to support the economy through the Development Fund during 2010 was adopted by the government.
It also adopted the programme of reallocation and usage of funds for subsidies in agriculture in 2010 to the amount of RSD 15.4 billion.
At today’s session the government passed the bill affirming the Convention on Temporary Import and the bill affirming the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the Serbian and Kuwaiti governments.
It passed the bill affirming the Agreement on Legal Assistance in Civil and Criminal Matters between Serbia and Montenegro, the bill affirming the Agreement on Mutual Execution of Court Decisions in Criminal Matters between Serbia and Montenegro and the bill affirming the Agreement on Extradition between Serbia and Montenegro.
The government expressed solidarity with the people of Haiti over the consequences of the devastating earthquake and decided to send humanitarian aid to Haiti.
