Serbia, China sign programme for cooperation in education until 2013

Minister of Education Zarko Obradovic and Chinese Deputy Minister of Education Hao Ping today in Beijing signed the Programme for Cooperation in Education between Serbia and China until 2013.
The Ministry says in a statement that according to the programme, cooperation will be established between universities, faculties and high schools.
Special importance has been paid to the programme of the Confucius Institute in Belgrade and the improvement of the Serbian curriculum at Beijing University. The number of stipends will also be doubled.
During his visit to Beijing, Obradovic met with top officials of the most important universities and academies. The Minister is also scheduled to meet with officials from Fudan University and with the Deputy Mayor of Shanghai.
Minister Obradovic has travelled to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.
