According to a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, the oral debate will last until December 11 and the legal team representing Serbia will start the debate.
Serbia’s stance is that the unilateral declaration of independence is against international law.
Serbia’s stance in this process has been supported by Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Iran, China, Cyprus, Libya, Russia, Romania, Slovakia and Spain and it is expected that other countries will do so during the oral debate.
Ambassador Dusan Batakovic will make the opening statement on behalf of the Serbian government. Members of Serbia’s legal team and international legal experts Malcolm Shaw, Andreas Zimmermann, Marcelo Coen, Vladimir Djeric and Sasa Obradovic will also speak, concludes the statement.
