Dragin signs agreements on exchange of agricultural land in Subotica

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management stated that Minister Sasa Dragin signed today in Subotica agreements on their exchange of land on route Y, part of Corridor 10.
The agreements were signed with legal entities and the Catholic Church, who are the owners of the land on the ring road around Subotica.
The Minister signed seven agreements, in which 26 hectares, 73 ares and 48 square metres became state property. More than 2.5 kilometres of the Y route were resolved in this way, not through expropriation, but through administrative transfer.
With this, the state has become a majority owner of the ring road around Subotica. These exchanges are done in line with the Law on agricultural land, according to the market value of the land.
Dragin said that the Ministry will continue to work intensively on the exchange of agricultural land on all parts of Corridor 10 and the Y route, by offering exchanges for entire parcels or just some parts, so that all farmers can continue their agricultural activity, because like this they are indemnified in the best way.
The Ministry carries out the exchanges of land in coordination with the public road company Putevi Srbije, the Corridor 10 company, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Spatial Planning, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry for the National Investment Plan.
In July this year, the Ministry signed agreements on the exchange of agricultural land with owners of land on the Nis-Crvena Reka lane, it is added in the statement.
