Based on the established increase in the frequency of illnesses similar to flu, especially among children, with the emergence of several related cases in primary and secondary schools and officially confirmed cases of the new influenza virus, there are twelve reported flu epidemics.
Epidemics have been reported among the population of South Backa District, in Kraljevo, Pozega, Uzice and Paracin as well as in schools in Cacak, Nis, Ivanjica, Prilike, Kragujevac and Leskovac.
All measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the virus in health institutions, elementary and high schools and kindergartens.
