The Serbian government at its session today decided to form an Employment Council, to be presided over by Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Slobodan Lalovic, with its members including representatives of trade unions, employers’ associations, National Service, agencies, associations and experts in fields relevant for employment.
The government also passed a decision to appoint a working group for renovation and preservation of the Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo-Metohija that will propose the activities related to contacts and talks with representatives of the Council of Europe (CoE), European Commission (EC), and other international institutions, with the aim of preventing and protecting the Serb cultural heritage in the province.
The government adopted a resolution on the use of funds from the current budget reserve in the amount of 5 million dinars in order to finance a regional conference on religious, cultural and ethnic cooperation in Vojvodina, which is due to take place in Subotica and Novi Sad from November 22 to 24.
The government also approved the programme of strategic consolidation of the public company for underground exploitation of coal and accepted the information on measures necessary to carry out the programme of the company’s strategic overhaul in 2005.
