The incident took place yesterday morning, when the two dignitaries of the Serbian Orthodox Church and Catholic Church were travelling to Greece to a religious summit in Thessaloniki.
Immediately after the incident Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica was informed, which was followed by interventions by the Serbia-Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Serbia-Montenegrin ambassadors to Skopje and Athens as well as organisers of the religious summit from Brussels and hosts in Greece.
The government described the incident as an act of discrimination against Serbian citizens. The government concluded that the Serbia-Montenegrin Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs should present a demarche to Macedonian Ambassador to Belgrade.
