March against Violence to protest Taton’s death

Serbian Minister for Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic said today that the death of French national Brice Taton is a tragedy for his family and has deeply shocked the French people but it has also strongly affected Serbia.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, Ciplic stressed that Serbia shares in the sadness over Taton’s death, and that Taton became a victim of violence and intolerance and Serbia is determined to confront these problems.
The Serbian Interior Ministry responded efficiently by arresting the perpetrators, said Ciplic, adding that this has sent a clear message that the state will take firm measures in dealing with violence. By joining in the March against Violence on October 1, a European and tolerant Serbia will make it clear that violence will be rooted out from Serbian society, said the Minister, adding that the March against Violence will show Serbia in the proper light.
