At its session today the Serbian government adopted the bill on affirming the agreement between Serbia and Italy concerning a loan for the programme “Loans for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises through local banks and support for local development through public utility companies”.
The bills on affirming an agreement between Serbia and Austria concerning terms and conditions for development cooperation, on affirming the development cooperation agreement between Serbia and Slovakia and on affirming the agreement between Serbia and Sweden concerning the terms and conditions for development cooperation were passed.
The government passed a Decree on measures for supporting the building industry through subsidised interest rates for housing loans in 2009. A sum of RSD 450 million will be allocated for this purpose from the budget.
A Decision was passed to provide one-off assistance to the families of the workers killed in the explosion at the Prvi Partizan factory in Uzice. A sum of RSD 7 million will be set aside from the budget for this purpose.
The government approved a Conclusion regarding the necessity of signing a financial agreement between Serbia and the EU concerning IPA funds for assisting the Serbian budget in 2009. An Action Plan for forming a single department for dealing with emergency situations was approved.
The Pride Parade, scheduled to take place in Belgrade on September 20, was also discussed at the session and it was stated that Serbia is a democratic country and every citizen has the right to use their constitutional freedoms. The government called on the public not to jeopardise peace and order.
