Kostyantyn Gryshchenko and Vojislav Kostunica
Prime Minister Kostunica said that Serbia-Montenegro is resolute to join the European Union (EU), and added that the feasibility study for Serbia-Montenegro should be completed by spring 2005.
Kostunica said that considering historical and cultural connections as well as the geographical position, Serbia-Montenegro and the Ukraine are close.
Gryshchenko said that there are great opportunities for cooperation and reiterated that agreements signed earlier in the fields of economy, transport, visa regime and social insurance need to be renewed.
The Ukrainian minister thanked the Serbian government for its care to the Ruthen, i.e., Ukrainian ethnic minority in Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina.
The two officials agreed that the UN Security Council’s Resolution 1244 needs to be respected fully in order to solve the problems of Kosovo-Metohija and stressed that any changes of borders could destabilise the region.
