Jeremic to visit Sweden, Malta

Belgrade, 7 September 2009

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today stated that Minister Vuk Jeremic will be in Sweden on September 8.

The statement adds that Minister Jeremic will meet with his Swedish counterpart Carl Bildt, Minister for EU Affairs Cecilia Malmström and Minister for International Development Cooperation Gunilla Karlsson.

During his stay in Stockholm Jeremic will also meet chairman of the Swedish parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs Göran Lenmarker and chairman of the Committee on EU Affairs Anna Kinberg Batra.

Jeremic will then visit Malta on September 9 where he will meet with Maltese President George Abell, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi, parliament speaker Louis Galea and Foreign Minister Tonio Borg.

Jeremic and Borg will sign an agreement on double taxation avoidance. Jeremic will also meet representatives of the Serbian diaspora on Malta, the statement concludes.
