Government adopts bill on authors' rights

The government today adopted a bill on authors' rights and related rights, which defines the authors rights for scientific, technical and art works, performing rights and first publishers.

The rights of producers of audio and visual recorded material and the publishers of written works, which are considered as related rights, are also clearly defined by the bill.
The government also adopted amendments to the law on the agency for dismissing directors of insolvent companies, specifying the agency's activities based on the bankruptcy law which has also been forwarded to the parliament for adoption.
The Decree concerning the terms and conditions for acquiring the status of an authorised producer of electricity and the criteria for assessing whether conditions have been met was passed. The amendments to the Decree on the criteria for determining the prices of medicines were adopted.
The government passed the Conclusion concerning loan agreements to finance the budget deficit and the refinancing of Serbia’s debt and the initiation of the public purchase procedure for the best offer for long term loans.
A Decision was also made to initiate the public purchase procedure for loan services from commercial banks for financing the budget deficit and refinancing Serbia’s debt.
