Serbia, Slovenia concur over social care agreement

The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy stated that the Serbian and Slovenian government delegations yesterday concluded the third round of talks concerning their social care agreement, having now harmonised the complete text of the agreement.
The statement adds that both delegations voiced their expectations that the only remaining point of contention will be resolved during the fourth round of talks, to be held in Belgrade early in October. If all goes well, the agreement on social care will then be signed.
Signing this agreement will create the conditions for Serbian citizens who worked in Slovenia at one point in their lives and vice versa to exercise their rights to a pension.
The agreement also envisages reciprocity when it comes to health care and defines unemployment rights, the statement adds.
