Governments of Serbia, Republika Srpska pledge to improve cooperation

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met with his Republika Srpska counterpart Dragan Mikerevic today. The two officials called for full observance of the Dayton peace accord, stressing that the relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska are described by a 2001 agreement on special parallel relations.
Kostunica called for improving bilateral economic, cultural and scientific ties.
Participants in the meeting also highlighted the importance of cooperation in road infrastructure, border crossing and energy projects, with line ministers pledging to further improve relations.
The meeting was also attended by Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, Serbian Minister of Interior Dragan Jocic, Serbian Minister of Energy Radomir Naumov, Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ivana Dulic-Markovic, Serbian Minister of Capital Investment Velimir Ilic, Republika Srpska Minister of Finance Branko Krsmanovic, Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Darko Matijasevic, Republika Srpska Minister of Energy Djordje Lajsic, Republika Srpska Minister of Agriculture Rodoljub Trkulja and Republika Srpska Minister of Transport Dragan Solaja.
