Police discover munitions cache in Konculj near Bujanovac

The Ministry of the Interior today stated that members of the Vranje police, as well as members of the multiethnic police unit from Bujanovac, have found large quantities of arms and ammunition buried in an oil tank in the village of Konculj in the municipality of Bujanovac.
The oil tank was buried 1.5 metres underground and contained one recoilless rifle, three mortars, six bazookas, three machine gun stands, 166 mines, 24 bazooka projectiles, 139 hand grenades and 100,800 bullets.
The search was corroborated by the deputy public prosecutor in Vranje and the investigative judge of the Vranje District Court, in the presence of representatives of the OSCE and the Coordinating Body for the South of Serbia.
