The Ministry extended their greetings to the miners, stating that their ultimate aim is to increase safety and create conditions for larger private investments, as well as to ensure the survival of mining towns.
The future of mining is in new investment, the opening of new mines and the development of existing ones, creating new jobs, increasing productivity, better social and working conditions and the introduction of international standards and modern technology.
Miners Day is celebrated in more than 200 mines in Serbia, by over 20,000 miners and their families, doing one of the most difficult jobs in the world, says the greeting message by the Ministry.
