Government denies taking part in organisation of Kosovo Serbs protest rally in Belgrade

The Serbian government has issued a statement, saying that it did not finance or take part in the organisation of a rally which Kosovo-Metohija Serbs staged in Belgrade yesterday to protest the forthcoming local election in the province.

The ministries of education, health, and public administration and local self-government spent their funds only for activities stipulated by their spending plans, the statement said, adding that 400,654 dinars (€5,340) were not paid from the government's budget.
