Cases have been registered in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sombor, Nis, Srbobran, Nova Pazova, Subotica, Sabac, Kucevo, Kragujevac, Pancevo, Stara Pazova, Sremska Mitrovica, Loznica, Kraljevo, Kikinda and Cacak.
The infected patients include 63 visitors to the Exit music festival in Novi Sad (11 from the UK, one from Macedonia, two from Canada, one from the Netherlands and 48 from Serbia) as well as six athletes from the Universiade (from Australia, Argentina, Uganda, Zambia and France).
The mortality rate of the virus is not 0.4%, as previously estimated in Mexico, but from 0.06% to 0.0004%, according to latest research.
Up until yesterday, 16,378 cases of H1N1 infection in Europe were reported, including 33 fatal cases – 29 in the UK and four in Spain.
