11 killed, 6 injured in Egypt traffic accident

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today stated that 11 Serbian citizens were killed and 6 injured in a severe accident, which happened early this morning on the road from Hurghada to Luxor in Egypt.
The injured have been hospitalised in the Hurghada Hospital.
The people killed and injured in the crash were Serbian tourists who went to Egypt with the Perla travel agency from Novi Sad.
According to unofficial reports, the crash was caused by a lorry which had been driving on the wrong side of the road.
A delegation from our embassy, as well as a special consular team sent by the Serbian Foreign Ministry, today went to Egypt in order to provide help to Serbian citizens and speed up the transfer of the dead to Serbia.
