Person arrested for arms trafficking

The Serbian Interior Ministry stated that the police started an action early this morning in Southern Serbia to break up an arms trafficking ring, suspected of supplying weapons to Albanian terrorist groups.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry, Chenan Mehmeti from Mitrovica was arrested during the police action with smuggled arms, ammunition and military equipment from Kosovo in his truck.
Police found a large quantity of arms and explosives in the family home of Ljuljzim Ibissi, a member of the so called Gnjilane Group.
The police are looking for three more people from Kosovo who also took part in the arms trafficking.
