According to the data from the Torlak national reference laboratory, most of the patients, 25 of them, had returned from countries where H1N1 cases had already occurred, such as Argentina, Australia, Canada, the UK, the United States and Spain, while five persons became ill after having come into contact with already infected persons.
Cases have been registered in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Sombor, Nis, Srbobran, Nova Pazova, Subotica and Sabac.
There are also three infected athletes from Australia, Argentina and Uganda, who are here to participate in the Universiade.
According to World Health Organisation’s (WHO) data, 94,512 cases of virus A H1N1 were recorded up until July 6, of which 429 were fatal.
