Serbia, Greece sign memorandum of understanding

Belgrade, 25 June 2009

Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and State Secretary at the Greek Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs Lefteris Bulias signed today in Athens a memorandum of understanding concerning youth policy.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Serbian delegation, headed by Minister Samardzic-Markovic, is on a working visit to Athens from June 24 to 26.

The agreement is the first one of this kind Serbia has ever signed. It will help strengthen relations between Serbia and Greece, intensify student exchange and enable young people to participate in conferences and seminars in both countries and carry out joint projects, concludes the statement.
