According to a government statement representatives from the EU and the Serbian government will hold a meeting tomorrow in Brussels, where the European Commission’s report on Serbia’s progress concerning visa liberalisation will be presented.
Experts from EU member states and the European Commission visited Serbia this year to monitor Serbia’s institutions progress in fulfilling the 42 criteria set forth in the road map for visa liberalisation. As soon as they finished their visit this May the European Commission drafted their report, says the statement.
The report refers to Serbia’s progress in document safety, control of illegal migrations, including readmission, public order and safety, foreign relations and basic human rights.
On the basis of this report the European Commission is to make a proposal regarding visa liberalisation for Serbia.
