EC decision confirms Europe's approval of state union's EU integration

Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said today that the European Commission's (EC) decision to continue the preparation of a feasibility study for Serbia-Montenegro's EU association agreement clearly confirms that Europe welcomes the state union's integration in the European Union.

Kostunica said that that is a big step forward in the integration of Serbia-Montenegro in the EU and a confirmation of Europe's commitment for the preservation of the state union.
Today's decision of the EC is also a confirmation of success of the talks with EU high officials Chris Patten and Javier Solana. This decision strongly encourages us to remove all obstacles on the joint path to European integrations, the Prime Minister concluded.
