Successful military cooperation between Serbia, Norway

State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Dusan Spasojevic and Director General at the Norwegian Foreign Ministry’s Defence Policy Department Steffen Kongstad today concluded that good military cooperation is the basis of good relations between the two countries in general.
According to the Defence Ministry’s statement Spasojevic and Kongstad discussed defence cooperation and the political and security situation in the region.
Spasojevic informed Kongstad about Serbia’s stance regarding the Kosovo-Metohija issue and pointed to the importance of regional cooperation for providing stability in the Balkans.
The two sides agreed that EU integration would considerably contribute to the stability of the entire region and Kongstad voiced his strong support for Serbia’s EU aspirations, concludes the statement.
