Dulic to attend 17th session of UN Commission on Sustainable Development

Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic, who is presiding over the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), will participate in the 17th session of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development, taking place from May 13 to 15 in New York.
According to the Ministry’s statement, the meeting will discuss agriculture, rural development, soil, drought, desertification and the situation in Africa.
A series of round table discussions will also be held in order to enable dialogue between ministers in charge of agriculture, soil management and rural development and leaders of UN specialised agencies, funds and programmes.
The ministers will also reach certain decisions and adopt practical measures concerning sustainable development, concludes the statement.
