The Ministry of Interior today stated that Mirsad Fazlic from Bosnia-Herzegovina, against who Germany has issued an international arrest warrant, was apprehended on the Sremska Raca border crossing on April 6.
According to the Interior Ministry’s statement, the successful police action resulted from joint activities of Interpol Belgrade and Interpol Wiesbaden.
Fazlic, who has been sentenced to 6 years and 6 months imprisonment for breaking the law, will be kept in custody until an extradition procedure finishes.
Sabani Herol from Presevo, Serbia, was arrested on April 8. Criminal proceedings against Herol, who committed serious crimes in 1993, are currently under way before the Vranje Municipal Court.
Dragi Ilijevski from Macedonia was arrested on April 10 and is currently kept in custody. Interpol Macedonia has issued an international arrest warrant against Ilijevski on charges of fraud.
