According to the statement issued by the Ministry for the Diaspora, the meeting was held to discuss an initiative of the Ministry for the Diaspora to make it possible for Serbs living abroad to submit urgent applications for new passports and identity cards during Easter Holidays and the summer, when many of them wish to visit Serbia.
Kasalica said that the Interior Ministry is aware of the problem and measures have already been taken, adding that all police departments in Serbia have been notified and they will give priority to applications for passports and identity cards submitted by Serbs living abroad.
