The statement adds that Gazprom Vice President Alexander Medvedev, who is heading the delegation, announced that the agreement on this project may be signed by the end of April in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, in the presence of heads of state.
Skundric and Medvedev also discussed broader cooperation, agreeing to intensify talks on the joint conclusion of work on the gas storage facility in Banatski Dvor.
Gazprom experts are preparing a study on the project which should be completed in April when the way the project will be realised will also be known, reads the statement, adding that the Gazprom delegation has once again affirmed it will continue modernising the Serbian oil industry, NIS, so that it becomes a leader in the Southeast European oil sector.
