Government adopts several bills

The Serbian government adopted at its session today bills amending the law on investment funds, the law on court taxes, the law on the organization and jurisdictions of state organs and controlling organized crime.
The bill on the affirmation of the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants was adopted at the session.
The government passed decrees on milk premiums for 2009, on the distribution of funds for subsidies for agricultural and food producers for 2009, on amendments to the Decree on the agricultural farms register and the Decree on the national programme for preventive dental health.
It was decided that new state officials cannot be employed until the end of 2009 without the consent of the Council for Public Administration Reform and the government.
Decisions concerning expenditure rationalization for public administration bodies, government departments and expert departments of administrative districts, the necessity of concluding cooperation protocols between Serbia, Nis City and the company Sagem Telecommunications and on approving a programme for paying social assistance to the most vulnerable groups in Kosovo in 2009, were adopted.
The government also adopted the national public health strategy, the strategy for the prevention and control of chronic non-infectious diseases, the strategy against illegal immigration for the 2009-2014 period and the national strategy for the fight against organized crime.
