The Serbian Defence Ministry stated today at its annual analysis of the operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Army during 2008 that the security situation in southern Serbia and the Ground Safety Zone is stable.
According to the statement issued by the Defence Ministry the analysis that was held today at the Guard House was attended by Serbian President Boris Tadic, Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac and Chief of General Staff General Miloje Miletic and top defence and army officials.
The dynamics of the work done on the Serbian Army’s tasks during the previous year, the security situation in the country and the region and other issue pertaining to the development of the Serbian Army were discussed at the meeting. Future tasks and guidelines for further development were also examined.
