Humanitarian campaign for children in Kosovo-Metohija

The Ministry for the Diaspora and the Serbian Association from Sweden today started a humanitarian campaign to help children, aged 7–14 from enclaves in Kosovo-Metohija and poor children from other parts of Serbia, to spend ten days at the Red Cross children’s seaside resort in Montenegro.
The Ministry says in a statement that the children will be part of the Red Cross Summer School programme realised by young educated volunteers, students from the faculties of medicine, special needs, philology, political sciences and other Belgrade University faculties.
Costs per each child for a ten-day holiday are €235.
Assistant Minister for the Diaspora Vukman Krivokuca voiced his hope that many Serbian organisations, such as the Serbian Association from Sweden, will take part in the initiative, adding that the Association will donate €3,000.
Krivokuca said his Ministry will also financially endorse the campaign, adding that a special account will be opened with Red Cross Serbia through which the balance of the account will be shown each month, adds the statement.
