The Serbian government adopted today the bill on customs, according to which the Serbian customs system will be harmonized with EU regulations, the bill on amendments to the law on chambers of commerce and the bill on amendments to peaceful settlement of disputes.
The government passed a decree on the terms and conditions for subsidizing the purchase of car made in Serbia by exchanging used cars for new ones.
The government decided to adopt a plan to amend the action plan for restructuring the mining and metallurgical complex RTB Bor Group.
The government made a decision regarding the maximum salary for executives and officials in public organs and enterprises as well as recommendations to limit benefits and bonuses.
The government made a decision to recommend parliament to examine the bill on employment and insurance for the unemployed as urgent procedure.
It also adopted several decrees ensuring the government’s concrete assistance to agriculture in 2009.
The decrees concern the adoption of a programme to develop and improve cattle breeding, distribute incentives for rural development support by strengthening the human capacity in farmers’ cooperatives, the use of support funds to non-commercial households for 2009 and similar.
It also passed the Serbian Strategy for Fighting Narcotics for the period 2009–2013.
At today’s session the government decided to declare 2009 the year of Milutin Milankovic, one of the greatest Serbians scientists of the 20th century, in order to mark the 130th anniversary of his birth.
