Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with representatives of municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, Nagip Arifi, Riza Halimi and Slobodan Draskovic respectively, and said that economic development in the region needs to be stimulated.
They discussed the continuation of the privatisation process in the three municipalities as well as loans that the Serbian Development Fund should allocate for this region.
They also agreed to discuss individual problems of the region with the line ministries, especially the credit rescheduling programme for the companies that were already granted loans by the Development Fund.
Serbian Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo will visit Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja soon to learn about the situation in each municipality.
The meeting was also attended by Minister of International Economic Relations Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic, representatives of the Ministry for Capital Investment and head of the Coordinating Body for South Serbia Nebojsa Covic.
